The post office that has served James Street since moving from its own built for purpose office five years ago is once again moving to a new location. The post office will move from its present location inside the Gala newsagents to the Spar facing St James Hospital near Ceannt Fort.
This represents a large distance for some of the more infirm and elderly residents in the area, one local stated “it’s too far to travel for me in the mornings it’s alright for someone like you, but on a day like today were you can see frost on the roofs…it’s too far”.
Others felt the distance was not too far, “well as long as it doesn’t leave the area out right it won’t be too bad” said one lady.
Opposition has already mobilised itself into a petition which is currently available in the Gala shop, though a quick perusal yesterday showed that there may not be the support needed to affect any real change.
The new post office will open its doors for the first time next Monday (20/01/13).

Some genuinely great information, Glad I discovered this. Good teaching is onefourth preparation and threefourths theater. by Gail. ebcgdkcceeea
